Michelle is a licensed midwife with over 20 years of experience supporting birthing families in Orlando as a birth worker, educator & guide, lactation counselor, and 13 years as a licensed midwife. She founded Sacred Birth in 2013, her homebirth midwifery practice, where she centers families within a model of care that is holistic, relationship-led, and emotionally-attuned. She believes in the importance of creating community around motherhood and it is what you'll find in her practice.

Michelle has a deep respect for the physiologic wisdom of birth and is dedicated to protecting and honoring the sacredness of the childbearing year and restoring postpartum care as an essential rite of passage. She weaves together the traditional midwifery knowledge of her lineage and clinical skill.

Michelle is the mother of two daughters, both born at home in alignment with her values, an experience that profoundly shaped her calling. She believes that mothering is a catalyst for spiritual growth and that the journey is as much about birthing a new you as it is about birthing a new baby. Michelle is the daughter of South American immigrants and strongly carries her heritage in everything she tends. She carries the tradition of the parteras, hierberas, and curanderas of her maternal lineage and honors their work, sacrifice, and wisdom.
