Seed the Stars is the passion project of Kelli and Ryan, two dedicated seed stewards based in Central Florida. We curate a selection of locally trialed seeds, hand collected from plants proven to thrive in Florida’s unique climate, ensuring they meet the challenges of our region.

Our seeds are organically grown in small-scale, maximized seed-saving gardens, transformed from underutilized suburban and rural landscapes. These gardens are maintained using practical, organic methods accessible to home gardeners. As small-scale seed savers, we specialize in providing regionally adapted seeds tailored to home gardeners and food foresters.

Our work is rooted in the belief that everyone should have access to locally trialed, regionally appropriate seeds. We aim to inspire and equip gardeners with the tools and knowledge to cultivate thriving gardens, all while advancing the essential goals of local food security and seed sovereignty.

Plants can evolve right in your own garden! This talk explores how landrace and adaptation gardening put nature in charge of plant breeding and seed saving. Learn how to grow diverse crops, save seeds from your best performers, and let your soil, climate, and cultural practices guide plant evolution in place over time through this traditional way of growing. Season after season, your plants become tougher, tastier, and more resilient to local pests, diseases, and weather extremes. Perfect for gardeners ready to explore seed saving as a pathway toward resilience and food sovereignty.
